Led predictive modeling transformation that converted 26 legacy SAS models to Spark-based solution directing over $100 million in marketing spend annually. Led teams of up to 15 data professionals. Helped implement a predictive analytics consulting arm for Credit Unions (AdvantEdge Analytics) and worked directly with Credit Union clients.
Engineered solutions to improve team productivity and reduce the onboarding time for new team members. Taught analysts how to encapsulate their work using R packages. Drove the adoption of version control within HR Analytics and worked with the version control engineers to implement a custom solution to protect sensitive HR code. On the talent acquisition side, implemented a resume management solution capable of processing 24 million resumes in parallel.
Key contributor on Nationwide’s enterprise “Model Factory,” an award-winning (2012 CIO 100 award) predictive modeling solution. Listed as co-inventor on multiple resulting patents. Also gained experience in predictive marketing analytics.
I started as an undergraduate in 1999 and shortly after declared Statistics as my major. In my senior year I began doing graduate work for the 5-year Master’s program, and the next year I decided to pursue the PhD. My research involved regression, multiple testing, and information sharing, and my thesis was published in article: “Orthology based Multilevel Modeling of Mouse and Human Gene Pairs.” Stat Appl Genet Mol Biol (2009)
